Description

Carbetocin Injection is a medicine used to treat bleeding in women who have just had a baby. In some women, the womb (uterus) doesn’t contract (shrink) quickly enough after delivery. This makes it more likely that they’ll bleed more than normal. Carbitex Injection makes the womb contract and helps reduce the risk of bleeding.

Carbetocin Injection is given as an intravenous injection by a doctor or a nurse. You should not self-administer this medicine at home. Carbitex Injection must not be given until after the baby has been delivered. Before receiving this injection, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions.

Some of the most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, itching, flushing, low blood pressure, headaches, and tremors. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or get worse. Let your doctor also know if you develop any new symptoms while you are being treated with Carbitex Injection.
